Open your eyes

This morning I was talking to Charlie before work. He was still in bed and I was about to walk out the door, but mid-sentence I realized how much I liked the placement of the painting we have over the bed. Then I looked at him and realized he had a mustache! The painting has been there for months, and mustaches don't appear overnight, so both of those instances led me to realize I need to get my head out of my bottom and open my eyes.

Maybe this weekend I'll get to do just that. . . and maybe make a batch of wild violet jelly. Yes, spring is here.

If you need a dose of eye-opening spring, come say hi over at Modish. Today I'm showing off some of the edibles we have in our yard. I was actually surprised at the variety and how adding a plant here and there can really add up to a bountiful harvest.
