Flannery O'Connor and peacock blue

I'm in the process of brainstorming a collaborative project, and my first mood board took me back to my college days and a semester-long course studying the works of Flannery O'Connor. I don't know if it was the southern Gothic style or the peacock blue that reminded me of the course, but a faded calico dress on a clothes line slightly off to the side of a rustic cabin porch seem to be the beginning of the untold story of the absolute ordinary.

The whats and wherefores: 2 vintage swimsuits from eBay, lawn chair photo by Jena, necklace by Mood Swing (though her site seems to be down at the moment), jacket and washed chambray shirt via Spool No. 72 and pantaloons by Bayou Salvage
