All talk and no walk

I'd like to offer a big congratulations to Irene (of Bloesem) and Rik on the newest addition to their family: Kiet. If BloesemKids is any indication of his future, their new little boy will be the stylin-ist kiddo in blog-land.

Since I'm still napping my days away (when will the exhaustion end?!?) I'm feeling a little antsy to get started on the nursery/studio, and subsequently guilty that I haven't done a damn thing about it. . . Except gather a generous amount of supplies and wares from my brother and sister-in law (including a handmade crib!)
So here's part of what we have, slowly taking over the living room until my energy comes back: Herman Miller shell rocker (already have the shell and it's padded), clearance rug (Crate and Barrel; 5 x 8 for $99.95), Dwell Studio for Target bedding (Clearance, $65 for crib set), Crib (on loan from my brother, this is the closest online approximation I could find. The one we're borrowing he made for his son and has a greater distinction of mission style elements).

For those of you interested in recipes for some of our recent dinner fare, I'll have the quiche up later today, and the ravioli tomorrow. See you back here soon!
