I'm getting all geared up for crossing a 2009 goal off my list--in a mere 5 weeks I'll be making a 6 1/2 hour drive to central Georgia for a 2 week Permaculture course.

To say I'm excited is an understatement, but it's a great example of how things work out. I wouldn't be able to do it if I were still plugging away at the etsy shop (that + working almost full time = all of my time) so closing those doors opened a new one for me. Plus I just found out about the workshop a week ago, and it's about half the price of the workshop they offer here in NC.

This recycled jewelry chandelier is pretty hot! (via A Cup of Jo who also has the cutest engagement photos ever.)

Looks like rain for the next couple days, so the Chicken Palace is on hold. But it makes me want to go hunting for moss and catch pretty rainwater in clear glass jars all over the yard, which would be beautiful until mosquito season began.

Poladroiding is fun, but doesn't replace the new real thing, which I got for Christmas and is FUN! (With a capital F, U, N!)

As sort of a big announcement (but pretty small in the grand scheme of things, I guess!) if you, or anyone you know, would like a custom banner for your etsy shop, blog, website, or any other place where a banner would be fun (FUN!) I'm now offering the cheapest banners on the web!
All for the low low dirt cheap price of $10, I'll smoosh up a buncha images and a couple words for you, and voila! Faster and cheaper than putting together a smugly hipster outfit from Urban Outfitters, you too can be unique!
