This one is a pretty big departure for what I've been doing lately, what do you think?
I'm really enjoying these patterns and loved doing the benday dots, I think you'll be seeing more of them!
I also think today will be a good "document the garden" day.

This short lived bout with the flu then cold (not together, but back to back, weird, right?) had me doodling all the time because I wasn't sleepy the entire time. Now I am chomping down the Ricolas and figuring out the things that work and make sense, vs the things that don't.

i just wanted to let you know that your work has been a huge motivating force for me lately. i normally steer clear of the meticulous, but looking at the beauty and fabulousness of your meticulously wonderful drawings has led me into my own creative adventures as of late.
i just wanted to say thank you for sharing yourself...

Oh man, you can document your garden? Cold, cold, cold here. And snowy.

This piece is really beautiful.

Wow! thanks gals--
I really appreciate your letting me know that, katiedl. Sometimes it's hard to keep pushing forward, through the challenging and just listening to the need and desire to make.
lisa--I definitely think more abstract could be really interesting, but it's also a barrier in my brain that I'm working to break through. perhaps some sort of art-school notion ingrained in there?
Amy--actually there isn't much going on in the garden, but I was hoping to see some garlic/onions/something/anything. I do have some swiss chard that just won't quit, as well as some fennel. And some of the daffodils are blooming!
