My gift buying trend this year has been to buy when I see something that strikes me as perfect for the intended recipient. Too often I am a last minute shopper, buying cool crap just to have something wrapped and under the tree, but even cool crap is just crap, so a little forethought will hopefully go a long way.
Here are a few things that have a bit of novelty value, a dash of luxury, topped off with lasting design and quality. Hopefully the combination of those characteristics will keep them from being dismissed at the speed of light.
walnutstudiolo.etsy.com bike pouch; Umbra stacking game;
madebywales.etsy.com wallet; wooden toys from Areaware

Umbra shoehorn; xoelle.etsy.com bow tie (I know, they were in a recent post. . .they're too cute not to mention again, though!); Frye boots; Bluelounge cable holders;
Areaware flashlight; world map in clearance outlet of Crate and Barrel

Are you buying for a guy? What sort of gifts will he be getting?
