this is the evolution of a free form conversation I had with my sister today via email over her lunch hour

by the way, you have a christmas party to go to on the 20th
and a christmas party on the 22nd.
and a christmas party on the 20th.
and a christmas party on the 22nd.
this is not a poem.

no, charlie didn't help me out with any ideas
though maybe he did and I just didn't listen? I was, after all
thinking about how I have a christmas party to go to on the 20th
and a christmas party on the 22nd.
and a christmas party on the 20th.
and a christmas party on the 22nd.

by the way, i thought of some movies we could watch,
not the least of which is muppet christmas carol,
not the most of which is "into the woods" if you haven't seen it.

No, THIS is not a poem:
into the woods
sounds
so very goods
how was the movie bella
watched
with mom not a fella

"bella" was beautifully moving
(and the company could not use improving).
shall i see if lon's free
to join you and me
for our "into the woods" private viewing?

your poetry is much better than mine
with rhythm and rhyming, each line
inviting our brother
would better, not smother
the plans to convene at that time

thanks very much for your kindness --
but clearly it's sisterly blindness!
your poems are stunning
delightful and cunning
there isn't a good rhyme for blindness

a little creative brainstorming
to help you get through your rhyme mourning
with no match for blindness
perhaps you'll try "fine miss? "
with your name adorning
the end of this ode as you sign 'dis

Hehe! Wouldn't it be fine if we talked in rhyme all the time?
